Book Cover Design

This was created for my graphic design class at SVA. Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel that explores the themes of censorship during the McCarthy Era and the rise of mass media which sparked an incline in the interest of books. I was inspired by the quote β€œIt was a pleasure to burn,” which starts off the novel. I used a matchbox to allude to fire as well as a minimalist design to convey conformity and structure.
